A magical setting where land blurs with water, the first destination is the Okavango Delta. The next stop is Moremi Game Reserve, where the long necks of a family of giraffe materialise slowly out of the skyline and graceful sitatunga hide in the reeds. The secluded Selinda offers the opportunity to feel the Africa earth beneath your feet as you discover the marvel of the bush on guided safari walks. In the famed Chobe National Park elephant wander dreamily into camp and hippo slumber as you float down the river on a sunset cruise. The adventure ends within sight of the magnificent flume of water vapour that hangs above the mighty Victoria Falls.

SUGGESTED ITINERARY:

Day 1

Your Luxury Safari in Botswana & Victoria Falls begins upon arrival at Maun International Airport you will be greeted by a member from the team who will assist you onto a scheduled charter flight. From here, you and fellow guests will be flown to Xaranna airstrip. Your first flight over this pristine water wilderness will leave lasting impressions. Keep a look out for hippos in the waterways and elephants amongst the trees (Approximately 15 minutes).

Soak up the experience during your 2 night stay at Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge in a Suite with bathtubs and al fresco showers, loft and private plunge pool. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry as well as transfers to and from the airstrip.

Day 2

Next, on your Luxury Safari in Botswana & Victoria Falls, experience the dawn in the famed Okavango Delta. Watch the distinctive shapes of the tall palms emerge from the grey haze. Glide silently between tall avenues of papyrus and river reeds, sprawled comfortably on the flat wooden wedge of a traditional dugout canoe, or mokoro. Dig your bare toes into the golden sand, cooled by the clear Delta waters, fishing rod or ice-cold drink in hand. Peer into the savage jaws of the tiger fish or marvel at the dazzling colours of the lilac-breasted roller. End the day admiring the multi-coloured spectacle of the African sunset.

Day 3

Enjoy a short game drive to Xaranna airstrip where a scheduled charter flight will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Chitabe airstrip. Your destination is situated in an area of golden-grassed floodplains inhabited by a staggering variety of wildlife (Approximately 15 minutes).

Reawaken your soul during your 2 night stay at Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge in a Suite with indoor and outdoor shower. Your stay includes three meals daily, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits, beers, refreshments on game drives, scheduled safari activities, emergency medical evacuation insurance, laundry as well as transfers to and from the airstrip.

Day 4: Moving through your Luxury Safari in Botswana & Victoria Falls, explore the golden grasslands in search of wildlife, keeping an eye out for a pride of lion picking their way through a shallow water crossing or a graceful leopard lounging in the boughs of a riverside tree. Follow a pack of endangered African wild dog on the hunt. Set out on foot to discover the minute wonders of the African bush, stopping to examine buffalo tracks and learning the traditional uses of the Okavango’s many bushes, trees and grasses. Meander through the clear lagoons and channels in a motorboat, watching wildlife from a different perspective and admiring a multitude of colourful bird species. Visit a local village and experience a traditional way of life that is in tune with this magical environment.

Day 5: Enjoy a short game drive to Chitabe airstrip where a scheduled charter flight will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Selinda airstrip. The Selinda Spillway is an ancient waterway home to large herds of elephant and buffalo. (Approximately 20 minutes).

Delight in adventure during your 2 night stay at Zarafa in a Luxury Tent with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, scheduled activities, laundry, park fees, return airstrip transfers, local brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, complimentary use of one pair of Swarovki HD binoculars, a professional Canon Camera Body and Lens kit per tent.

Day 6

Stretch, yawn and listen to the morning chorus of birdcalls before easing into a new day. Hop into the vehicle like a seasoned safari veteran and set out in search of the perfect sighting. Hear nothing but the grass swish-swishing against your trouser leg as you walk through the tranquil bush. Crouch down around a fresh animal track as your guide deciphers the clues it has to offer. If the water levels allow, glide along the river on a tranquil canoe safari. Back at camp, let the aches and pains of the day melt away under the expert care of the camp masseuse. In the evening, warm your toes around a blazing campfire and join in stories of the day’s adventures.

Day 7

Enjoy a short game drive to Selinda airstrip where a scheduled charter flight will be waiting to fly you, and fellow guests, to Kasane Airport (Approximately 50 minutes). Savour the views of the sparkling lagoons and palm tree islands as you fly over this water wonderland for one last time and then a scheduled road transfer will take you to Chobe Chilwero.

Soak up the experience during your 2 night stay at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero in a Cottage with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals & non -alcoholic & alcoholic beverages (with exception of premium brands and Champagne), all game viewing activities.

Day 8

Awaken to a chorus of birdlife welcoming the dawn and warm up with a steaming cup of coffee. As the day heats up, sway with the motion of your 4×4 vehicle, keeping an eager eye out for what the next bend in the road may reveal. Follow the flashes of colour as birds flit between the trees along the river. Listen enthralled to the rumbling, trumpeting, rustling symphony of some of the world’s largest elephant herds. Step onto the low deck of a river boat and feel the current tug you onward. Pause in reverent stillness as the riverbank slowly fills up with elephant and then share their delight as the whole herd piles in for a swim.

Day 9-10

Nearing the end of your Luxury Safari in Botswana & Victoria Falls, you will be collected from Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge and be driven with fellow guests to Kasane Airport where you will find your next transfer to Victoria Falls River Lodge in Zimbabwe with clearing of customs and immigration enroute.

Explore the sights of Victoria Falls during your 2 night stay at Victoria Falls Island Lodge in a Luxury Treehouse Suite. Your stay includes all meals, shared transfers from/to the Victoria Falls Airport, local and superior beverages, an optional daily transfer from the island (departing at 10h00 and returning at 15h00) to the jetty and then by road to Victoria Falls town, a tour of the falls which is part of the daily transfer to town (entry fee into the rainforest for guests own account), transfer to/from National park gate or Jetty for 3rd party activities, two game activities, a choice of either a morning/afternoon game drive in the Zambezi National Park and a sunrise/sunset river cruise, snacks local beverages on the game drives and/or the sunset river cruises, afternoon tea, bird watching and laundry.

Tour of the Falls – Zimbabwe – Thrill yourself with the memorable opportunity to explore the breathtaking rainforest that surrounds the majestic Victoria Falls. This adventure begins at the Victoria Falls Map Room where your guests guide will divulge the fascinating history, layout and geology of the Falls. Afterwards, your guests will make their way on foot to the David Livingstone Statue and then onwards through the flourishing rainforest to the beautiful view points of Cataract View, Devils Cataract, the main Falls and then lastly to the Eastern Cataract.
