DAY 1: On arrival in Paris, our English speaking chauffeur will welcome you and drive you to your hotel, the Royal Champagne (approx. 1hr 45mins). Later that afternoon, discover parts of the Champagne region in a classic car – Enjoy the unique atmosphere of France’s beautiful countryside on a classic motoring trip in an iconic vehicle of your choice – with or without a chauffeur. We can even prepare a gourmet picnic to enjoy on the way. For dinner, we will offer restaurant recommendations and make reservations as per your preference.
DAY 2: This morning your chauffeur will drive you to the Manoir de Verzy, part of the Veuve Cliquot domain for more than 100 years. Located on the lands of the former Abbey of Saint-Basle, the Manoir and its garden offer a timeless set surrounded by rose gardens, hedges and vineyards. You will fully experience the magic of the place with a lunch served in the Manoir’s dining room, along with a perfect Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin champagne pairing!
After lunch, the Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin ambassador will guide you around the Verzy vineyard, and then your chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel for a few hours of relaxation.
In the late afternoon enjoy a private guided tour of the towers of the Reims Cathedral, generally closed to the public. (please note that there are 249 steps to climb to access the towers). Then you will head for the Palace of Tau where we can secure after hours access. It is the former palace of the Archbishop of Reims and residence of the Kings of France during their coronation.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: This morning visit the house of Ruinart, the oldest established champagne house in the world, some of whose cellars have been designated as French historic monuments. During your private visit, you will discover the history of Ruinart and encounter the production process that produces such exceptional champagne. Savour a tasting of Ruinart in one of their private salons. After this exclusive tasting, you will be beguiled by an immersive Ruinart lunch. A truly exceptional day!
In late afternoon, live an amazing experience in a hot air balloon (optional). The perfect opportunity to discover Champagne from above, its vineyards and villages shimmering in vivid colours. At the end of the day, your chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel.
DAY 4: After a leisurely breakfast, your chauffeur will drive you to the airport or train station for your return journey home.
