DAY 2: This morning your chauffeur will drive you to the Manoir de Verzy, part of the Veuve Cliquot domain for more than 100 years. Located on the lands of the former Abbey of Saint-Basle, the Manoir and its garden offer a timeless set surrounded by rose gardens, hedges and vineyards. You will fully experience the magic of the place with a lunch served in the Manoir’s dining room, along with a perfect Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin champagne pairing!
After lunch, the Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin ambassador will guide you around the Verzy vineyard, and then your chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel for a few hours of relaxation.
In the late afternoon enjoy a private guided tour of the towers of the Reims Cathedral, generally closed to the public. (please note that there are 249 steps to climb to access the towers). Then you will head for the Palace of Tau where we can secure after hours access. It is the former palace of the Archbishop of Reims and residence of the Kings of France during their coronation.
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
