Tanzania

Tanzania – home to the mighty Kilimanjaro, the Great Migration, and 30% of the nation consisting of national parks - a prime location for any wildlife enthusiast. Track the 2 million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles on their Great Migration in the search of greener pastures – a truly awe-inspiring experience. Master the “Roof of Africa”, by climbing Kilimanjaro with our trained experts. Then relax on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar, the perfect end to a safari in this most wondrous of Africa’s wildlife havens.

The Serengeti National Park is famous the world over for its incredible number of predators and the Great Migration – one of the wildlife wonders of the natural world. The endless grassy plains, rich grazing grounds, large herds and the surrounding tribal heritage mean that a safari here will surpass all expectations.
[banner]-ngorongo-crater The spectacular Ngorongoro Crater is another of Tanzania’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, and deservedly so. The largest volcanic caldera in the world at 20km wide and 600 metres deep, venture down into it on a game drive and the landscape incorporates grassland, forest, swamps and lakes attracting many different animals and birds including flamingos. There is nowhere like it, and it fits perfectly into an overland itinerary combined with the Serengeti and Lake Manyara or Tarangire.
Tarangire National Park maybe one of Tanzania’s lesser known, but we think it’s one of the best, and most scenic with the Tarangire River at its heart. This provides a year-round water source attracting wildlife from all around. Tarangire has a varied terrain with floodplains, grasslands, hills and giant baobab trees, along with plentiful game both big and small.
[banner]-lake-manyara Lake Manyara is one of the smaller parks in Tanzania but also very scenic and a particular favourite with photographers. The majority of the park is taken up by the lake that dominates the landscape and gives the park its name. The landscape ranges from evergreen forests to savannah and marshland, sustaining a multitude of wildlife including the famous the tree-climbing lions.
[banner]-indian ocean islands The Zanzibar archipelago is actually more than 50 islands strong, ranging from tiny outcrops to the larger islands of Zanzibar (more properly called Unguja). The beaches are stunning, with powdery white sand shaded by palm trees, while the sea is shallow and turquoise. Head further out and you'll find coral reefs that are great for snorkelling and diving.
