Trip Highlights:
- Get up close to the iconic canyons of Utah in Navajo country
- Cruise Lake Powell under the tutelage of a professional captain to view the geography, flora and fauna
- Get a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon by helicopter and a dawn hot air balloon adventure
Day 1: Fly to Page airport (accessible from Las Vegas) and transfer by private car to the stunning Amangiri and check in. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the resort, taking in the iconic pool carved out of the desertscape, or enjoying a Navajo-inspired treatment at the spa. Dinner and overnight at Amangiri
Day 2: This morning you will have the opportunity to visit some of the very unique slot canyons that the area is famous for. Located on Navajo Nation lands, Rattlesnake Canyon, Owl Canyon and your choice of Upper Antelope Canyon, or Mountain Sheep Canyon combine to create a half-day experience that offers a comparison of three distinct, and iconic, canyons of the Southwest. Your Navajo guide will meet you on the front steps of Amangiri and serve as your driver and guide throughout.
In the afternoon, enjoy an exhilarating visit of incredible Lake Powell aboard a motor boat with a professional captain. Cruise the lake and learn about the surrounding area, from the geography to the flora and fauna as you zip down canyons and along towering walls. Lake Powell is extremely unique in its topography with a highlight of this 5 hour charter including a view of a spectacular 290’ wide free standing arch known as Rainbow Bridge. During your exciting tour, you will have the option to experience a variety of water sports like kayaking, paddle boarding, and tubing where you can venture deeper into the side canyons. Your captain can navigate to a peaceful, sandy beach where you can enjoy time sunbathing, swimming in the pristine water or savouring a deli-style picnic (weather permitting). Return to Amangiri and spend the evening at leisure.
Day 3: Morning departure by private helicopter to Grand Canyon South Rim for an incredible day enjoying the splendour of the Grand Canyon with a privileged birds-eye view. Enjoy a private hiking experience with an expert naturalist guide that will reveal flora, fauna and other secrets of this epic national park. Land on Tower Butte for private sundowners with an epic view, then return to Amangiri later this afternoon and spend some time relaxing and enjoying the property.
Day 4: Choose between two experiences this morning: Enjoy a dawn hot air balloon adventure (weather permitting). Launching directly from Amangiri, the flight takes in views of Lake Powell, Navajo Mountain, the Vermillion Cliffs and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
OR
Take a second helicopter flight, this time to Bryce Canyon. During this flight you will see Buckskin Gulch, the Cockscomb, Grosvenor Arch, Wahweap Hoodoos, the Paria Town site, and of course, the two cathedrals of Bryce Canyon. Return to Amangiri for the evening.
DAY 5: Return by private car to Page airport for your onward flight.
